Replacement of an old and large Velux plus replacements of a few hanging tiles. Good communication, flexible on the timescale to link in with other contract work. The two man team 'gang' worked hard, very diligent, professional, cleaned up well afterwards and it looks very professional. I did feel the project was over priced but I needed it done, however invoiced as their estimate so it was my call to make.

Cornerstone provided a professional survey of our rather unusual shape garden room roof and came up with a quotation that seemed very reasonable for the work required which included removing 5x polycarbonate sheets on a sloping part of the roof, installing boarding and three layers of felt in their place plus re-felting a triangular flat portion of the roof to make a seamless felted roof. The gang arrived onsite ontime and worked really hard in the extreme heatwave. Plenty of tea and cold drinks supplied! The roof was completed ontime and looks very neat. I was particularly impressed with the 'above and beyond' attitude they applied to the job to make sure that it would provide good drainage in wet weather straight into the gutter. 25 year guarantee too!

I have tried to get a reliable roofing company to replace my house gutters and downpipes for several months. I finally spoke to Cornerstone Roofing a few weeks back. I can honestly say it was the best phone call I have made in several years. From start to finish Cornerstone were superb. Fantastic communication, site inspection, quote and completion of work. I very rarely write reviews because there is little exceptional to write about but Cornerstone deserves every one of the five stars I have given them on this review. They are honest, professional, competitive, give transparent advice and the work carried out was nothing short of perfect. If I ever require roofing work to be done in the future I have only one number to call and will have no hesitation in using Cornerstone as my first point of contact.

Cornerstone roofing removed a skylight, then boarded over the gap, and re boarded and felted our garage roof. I was really impressed with all the guys that did the job, they were efficient and friendly and really clean and tidy. The workmanship was really good. Would definitely recommend them! However, it did take ages to receive a quote and the admin side was not quite as efficient which was a shame but the work and roofers were great so would definitely use again. 5 stars! Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does new guttering cost?

Guttering costs depend on the length of the run, the height of the property (single-storey vs two-storey or higher), access for ladders or scaffolding, and whether you’re installing new gutters, replacing the lot, or repairing a section. We book a free visit, measure properly, and provide a written quote based on your actual property rather than a blanket per-metre figure.

Look out for visible cracks or splits in the gutter run, sections sagging or pulling away from the fascia, water overflowing during heavy rain, joints that drip even when the gutter looks clear, brackets that have rusted or worked loose, and damp staining on the wall directly below. Persistent overflow causes the most secondary damage, soaking fascias, soffits and the wall behind, so it’s worth dealing with before fascia and brickwork repairs are added to the job.

Our gutter installations use top-grade uPVC, available in a range of colours and styles to match your property. uPVC is the most popular choice for domestic guttering in the UK because it’s lightweight, won’t rust, and has a long service life with very little maintenance. We can talk you through profile and colour options at the free visit.

Yes. Blocked gutters are one of the most common causes of overflow, fascia damage, and damp on external walls. Our guttering installations can include a mesh system that keeps leaves and debris out at source, which significantly reduces how often the gutters need clearing. Even with mesh, an annual visual check (especially after autumn) is sensible to catch any build-up that does get through.

A localised crack, a leaking joint, a slipped section or a damaged downpipe can usually be repaired without replacing the whole run. If the system is generally sound, repair is the cheaper option. Where the brackets are corroded, the gutters are widely cracked or sagging, or the existing system simply isn’t coping with the volume of rainwater coming off the roof, full replacement is normally the better call long-term.

All of our guttering installations are backed by a 10-year insurance-backed warranty on our workmanship, plus the relevant manufacturer guarantees on the uPVC system itself. Terms are set out in writing as part of your quote.

Yes. Guttering in Haywards Heath is one of our most-requested services, and we install and repair gutter systems across Mid Sussex from our base in nearby Scaynes Hill. We cover Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Cuckfield, Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks, Lindfield and the surrounding villages, often as part of a wider fascia and soffit upgrade so the roofline is dealt with in one visit.
