Replacement of an old and large Velux plus replacements of a few hanging tiles. Good communication, flexible on the timescale to link in with other contract work. The two man team 'gang' worked hard, very diligent, professional, cleaned up well afterwards and it looks very professional. I did feel the project was over priced but I needed it done, however invoiced as their estimate so it was my call to make.![]()

Cornerstone provided a professional survey of our rather unusual shape garden room roof and came up with a quotation that seemed very reasonable for the work required which included removing 5x polycarbonate sheets on a sloping part of the roof, installing boarding and three layers of felt in their place plus re-felting a triangular flat portion of the roof to make a seamless felted roof. The gang arrived onsite ontime and worked really hard in the extreme heatwave. Plenty of tea and cold drinks supplied! The roof was completed ontime and looks very neat. I was particularly impressed with the 'above and beyond' attitude they applied to the job to make sure that it would provide good drainage in wet weather straight into the gutter. 25 year guarantee too!![]()

I have tried to get a reliable roofing company to replace my house gutters and downpipes for several months. I finally spoke to Cornerstone Roofing a few weeks back. I can honestly say it was the best phone call I have made in several years. From start to finish Cornerstone were superb. Fantastic communication, site inspection, quote and completion of work. I very rarely write reviews because there is little exceptional to write about but Cornerstone deserves every one of the five stars I have given them on this review. They are honest, professional, competitive, give transparent advice and the work carried out was nothing short of perfect. If I ever require roofing work to be done in the future I have only one number to call and will have no hesitation in using Cornerstone as my first point of contact.![]()

Cornerstone roofing removed a skylight, then boarded over the gap, and re boarded and felted our garage roof. I was really impressed with all the guys that did the job, they were efficient and friendly and really clean and tidy. The workmanship was really good. Would definitely recommend them! However, it did take ages to receive a quote and the admin side was not quite as efficient which was a shame but the work and roofers were great so would definitely use again. 5 stars! Thank you!![]()

Great service, very professional from start to finish.
Our fascias come in a diverse range of styles, tailored to shield your property from rain and moisture. A well-installed fascia is key to maintaining the integrity of your home or business, offering years of robust weather protection. At Cornerstone Roofing, we understand the importance of quality, which is why we supply fascias crafted from the best materials, such as uPVC, timber, oak, and mahogany. Each material is chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal, ensuring your property not only stays protected but also looks great.
Soffits play a crucial role in connecting your fascias to the roofline. Our high-quality soffits are designed to provide essential airflow and ventilation to your attic space, which is vital for maintaining a healthy roof structure. Made from premium materials, our soffits add a layer of strength and durability to your property.
Our services cater to a diverse range of residential and commercial properties within these areas, ensuring that every client has access to our specialised solutions.
Fascia and soffit costs depend on the length of the roofline, the height of the property, the materials chosen (uPVC, timber, oak or mahogany), how much of the existing roofline timber is sound, whether new guttering is being fitted at the same time, and access for ladders or scaffolding. We book a free visit, measure properly, and provide a written quote based on your actual property rather than a per-metre estimate.
Look out for fascia boards that are visibly rotting, swollen, splitting or peeling, sections that sag or pull away from the roof edge, soffits that are cracked, drooping, or showing daylight through gaps, persistent damp staining on the wall below the roofline, and any sign that the gutter is being pulled off the fascia by water-damaged timber. Once rot sets in, fascias and soffits rarely recover. Replacement is usually the right call.
We work in uPVC, timber, oak and mahogany. uPVC is the most popular choice for modern roofline projects because it doesn’t rot, doesn’t need painting, and has a long service life with very little maintenance. Timber and hardwood (oak, mahogany) suit period and character properties where appearance matters and the homeowner is happy to maintain them properly. We’ll talk through the trade-offs at the free visit.
Yes. Soffits aren’t just decorative. They provide essential airflow to the roof void. Without proper ventilation, warm moist air from the house gets trapped under the roof, where it condenses on cold timbers and eventually leads to rot, mould, and felt damage. Replacing solid soffits with vented or pre-ventilated soffits as part of a roofline upgrade is one of the easiest ways to protect the roof structure long-term.
We’d usually recommend it. Once the access is up and the fascia is exposed, replacing tired guttering is a small extra cost relative to coming back later to do it as a separate job. It also protects your new fascias. Old, leaking gutters are one of the most common causes of premature fascia rot.
All of our fascia and soffit installations come with a 10-year insurance-backed warranty on our workmanship, plus the relevant manufacturer guarantees on the boards (uPVC, timber and hardwood systems all carry their own product-level warranties). Terms are set out in writing alongside your quote.
Yes. We install and replace fascias and soffits across Sussex from our base in Scaynes Hill, covering Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Cuckfield, Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks, Lindfield and the surrounding Mid Sussex villages. Roofline work usually goes hand-in-hand with new guttering, so we’ll quote for the lot in one visit.
